April National Holidays ⏤ Let's create some content 🗓
Who made up these random national holidays?
I don't know how or who started the national holiday trends, but they are here. And since they are here, we might as well capitalize on the ones that align with your business strategy.
Part of trending and brand building starts with linking yourself to something that is already being talked about. Hence why everyone jumps on every single social media challenge in hopes of their version of it catches steam.
This gets old, quick.
So instead of spending your precious time learning a new dance or perfectly positioning your fingers in mid-air so you can make words magically appear, why not create content around something that is already being talked about.
Here are some holidays you can build messaging around.

How-to share these without seeming cheesy
Here are a few examples:
April 4: National Hug a Person day
Don’t: Only share a picture of you hugging a person with a #nationalhugaday caption or write a blog post about the national day.
Instead: Share a photo, carousel, video montage, or reel of you hugging your favorite people from the past or present. Tell a story about what those individuals mean to you. We live in a panny right now, so share the last time you hugged your grandmother or your best friend who lives in another state. You can take this piece of content and turn it into a blog post to share more details.
April 16: National Wear Your Pajamas to Work day
Don’t: Share a photo of you WFH in your latest PJ set or talk about working from home during the pandemic (too many people are doing this right now, the goal is to stand out)
Instead: Share your last five WFH comfy looks that can double as PJs and OOTD; share where you got these looks from in a blog post. Or share a behind-the-scenes look at your workday which happens to include your PJs.
Ok last one
April 25: National Telephone Day
Don’t: Tell a story about how you are Zoomed out, and you much rather have phone conversations (again, folks are already doing this).
Instead: Take a walk down memory lane and share a story (and picture if you have it) about your first phone. Or tell a story with a supporting picture of the last impactful conversation you had. Maybe your bestie helped drag you out of a slump; maybe you received some terrible news; did you land a dream client? This is how to celebrate this day!
Ok, are we picking up what I am putting down? Great! 👍🏽
